Minimum Door Sizes
Interior passage doors (other than non walk in closets or areas less than 10 sq. ft.) minimum size is 24" wide x 6'-6" high. This is quite narrow for doorway. A typical bedroom door size is 30" wide x 6'-8" high. Always keep in mind how the room be used and how often and what you will be carrying in and out of the room before you frame the opening. If you install a 30" wide door and need to get a 34" refrigerator through it. That might be difficult...So plan ahead.
